This is a great place to get away, kick back, relax and enjoy nature. It's quiet and shows all the beauty that Colorado has to offer. Leadville and Buena Vista are close by and have great little shops and restaurants. The cabin itself is rustically beautiful and has everything you need. Just bring a few groceries and you're set. Can't wait to go back!

This place was great. Came up with a few friends and there was more than enough room to go around. The cabin also had all the comforts of home and then some. The porches front and back great places to sit out and enjoy the views. My wife and her friend loved sitting on the front porch in the morning with a cup of coffee just watching the day start. We all were able to get out and take a few hikes in the hills. What a great way to relax. Then in the evenings we would start up the fireplace and play some cards over a few glasses of wine. Be careful though, the fireplace is very efficient and will warm you out. The bedrooms were also great, with plenty of room in all three. We will be back and I have already recommended it to several of my friends.

Fabulous Colorado mountain cabin! My family stayed here for a week, enjoying each other's company on the front and back porches, playing horseshoes, finding the interior and exterior spaces comfortable and beautifully decorated. Gorgeous mountain views! We enjoyed mountain hikes, whitewater rafting, and shopping in Frisco. We plan to return soon!

What an incredible place to stay. The cabin is beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you will need for a week of relaxing and entertaining in this majestic mountain setting. I personally enjoy relaxing on the back porch in one of the comfy Adirondack chairs, with drink in hand of course, feeling the warm sun on my face and listening to the birds. The views from every window will simply take your breath away. Please make time for some long mountain hikes. I am looking forward to coming again in the winter.

A group of five people (2 taking part in the Leadville 100-mile Trail Run) stayed at the Angells Retreat house in Twin Lakes to do some hiking and relaxing before the big race. The rental was fantastic. The house is very cozy and set up well. The rooms were big with plenty of space to unpack and settle in for the week. The kitchen is great for cooking and it was stocked with items we used daily for the task (oil, spices, sugar, etc.). There was also a coffee maker (and coffee), toaster, big stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Having a laundry room with detergent provided also means no stinky clothes to deal with as the week progresses and no need to do laundry on returning home from the vacation. Plenty of tv channels to choose from to settle in after a long day and an N64 gave way to 1-2 nights of nostalgic video games. The water pressure was great and showers hot. We took advantage of the outdoor grill to make some great BBQ meals. The area was very, very quiet and only a 5-10 minute drive to Mt. Elbert for hiking. However, be aware that some neighbors (either guests or owners – not sure) have dogs unleashed in their yards that weren’t very friendly so be careful. The house felt like our own and had a good selection of CDs to listen to on the stereo system and DVDs if we wanted to watch a movie. Check-in/out was simple. The only tiny complaint is regarding the Chef Knifes in the kitchen. They were all pretty dull but we luckily had a survival knife that we used instead. But if that is the only complaint, you know the house is a great place for spending time in a peaceful and serene environment surrounded by mountains and close to the lakes. You can bet we will be back in this house again if we come back to this area of Colorado.
