Amazing. Only got to spend a few nights here, but could literally spend weeks - months - heck forever!! Our family with 2 teens enjoy subtle, less crowded attractions and just relaxing downtime - this place was perfect. My wife made a couple Colorado Springs attractions obligatory on this trip, but there are really so many natural things to explore nearby for days and days - be sure to check out St. Elmo, Continental Divide, La Plata Gulch Trailhead and dozens of trails only minutes away. Not to mention just sitting there and taking in the views. I want to do a jeep tour and more mountain biking when I return. Maybe make it to the top of Mt Elbert this time. And just other natural and historic features in the area that we simply didn't have time for on this 3 day trip. And this was perfect for my two rather apathetic teens - my daughter (17), upon walking through the cabin and seeing the back view, turned to me and said "you did good, dad". My son (14), while not doing much outdoorsy stuff this time, does mention wanting to go back, so I guess he enjoyed it too. ha. The wife (not outdoorsy) just enjoyed sitting inside and reading and relaxing.

This spacious and well-appointed three-level log home is the PERFECT place for getting away from it all and still having the pampered comforts of resort quality accommodations. We spent a week there between Christmas and New Year's, and enjoyed spectacular views of the Sawatch Range, close proximity to outdoor activities, and a comfortable retreat for our party of ten people. The adventurous of our group spent their days downhill and cross country skiing, while those that stayed closer to home enjoyed cozy fires, solitude, and the ever-changing views of Mt. Elbert and Twin Lakes. The kitchen has ample modern conveniences and supplies, the beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of room for large groups to simultaneously dine, bathe, and just hang out together without feeling cramped. We can't wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the wildflowers and the ample hiking opportunities close by. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere that had such a complete package of comfort, natural beauty and accessibility to the outdoors. A MUST for any group who loves to be pampered and loves seclusion!

What a wonderful place to spend a long weekend....a week...or maybe a month or two! Waking up every morning to the spectacular view of Twin Lakes and 14ers—that alone was worth the price of admission. Our group found that the "cabin" (an extra deluxe cabin!) was the perfect location to access all the things we wanted to do. For this trip is was hiking and biking. We'll come back next summer for some fishing and canoeing. It's amazing that all those activities were literally outside our door. Nighttime views are spectacular too. If you're a star-gazer, this is definitely the place to be. And when you're not enjoying the great outdoors, the cabin is a fabulously cozy place for making a meal and relaxing in the huge living/dining room, yet there's plenty of space to spread out, play games or read and relax by the fireplace. We didn't make any trips into "town" but it was nice to know that anything we might have forgotten was available via a short drive. We're lucky enough to live just a few hours away on the Front Range, so this cabin is likely to become our "go to" place when we need to escape!

Our third stay, and leaving is the hardest part. Perfect for out two families and in the center of the best part of Colorado. No cities, no crowds, prettiest views. Coming home to Starvue after a day of hiking to Interlaken, rafting, hotsprings, skipping rocks and lunch at the new Twin Lakes Inn. Perfect and thanks!

Spent an amazing week at the cabin during the fall. Came from Maine for a week in the Colorado high mountains and had the most incredible trip. The location is second to none, with the most amazing views of Twin Lakes, Mt Elbert and numerous other 14ers in the area. I spent many mornings with my coffee taking in the views, the alpenglow, and even saw some antelope one morning cruising past. Great spot for all - those who want to climb and hike some of the highest mountains in continental US or those who want a relaxing day, maybe a short hike or canoe on Twin Lakes and picnic lunch (great for kids too), or even those who want to just sit on the deck and take in the breathtaking scenery. The cabin is elegantly hand-crafted with fine attention to every little detail, situated with some of the best views imaginable, you might not want to leave.
